#Anarchafeminist Divinations — On Tour Our colleague Işıl Karataş (Institute of Ethnology, LMU Munich) continues to present her film Anarchafeminist Divinations (2025) at a range of film festivals and conferences across Europe and North America, sometimes travelling with the film herself. # Book Presentation at Volkskundemuseum Wien: The Radical Democratic Museum Revisited // 24.09.2026, 19:00 Challenging the archive, claiming space, creating counter-publics, producing alternative forms of knowledge, radicalizing education: The contributions to the newly published volume by Joachim Baur and Nora Sternfeld take the concept of radical democracy as a starting point for rethinking the museum in the present.
# A discourse and programme series on electronic music: Musik aus Strom // 26.09.2026, 15:00 – 19:30 An open setting of electronic instruments and accompanying musicians invites participants to explore and experiment with electronic music together. Through experimentation, conversation, and collective music-making, new forms of encounter emerge, while roles and notions of belonging are renegotiated through interaction. In this way, a social space of collective experience takes shape. The programme concludes with a collective improvisation concert.
# MUSMIG Idea Lab: How to Build a Museum of Migration? // 9 – 11.10.2026 How can museums preserve, represent, and celebrate migrant histories? Over three days, the MUSMIG Idea Lab brings together experts, activists, artists, migrant initiatives, and the public to explore different approaches to museums of migration—from London and Belgrade to Montevideo and Vienna. Through talks, workshops, artistic interventions, performances, and a World Café, the Lab will explore five themes: Utopia, Space, Allies, Visibility/Campaigning, and Politics/Decolonizing. The programme aims to share practical knowledge, foster new connections, and celebrate the diversity and resilience of migrant histories.
